The Baluba creation story makes a connection between God's invisibility or unavailability, and the endowment of humans with a soul or divine component longing for God.
In the creation story, Kabezya-Mpungu decides to become invisible after creating the world and the first humans who did not yet have a heart. After balancing the rain, sun, moon, and darkness, he leaves. To replace the visible god, he sends the people Mutima ("heart"), the life-giving or divine part of humans.
- ..I don't want that humans will see me any more. I return into myself and send Mutima...Then Kabeza-Mpungu disappeared. Thereafter, the heart appeared, in a small, hand-sized vessel. The heart cried and turned towards Sun, Moon, Darknes and Rain: "Kabezya-Mpungu, our father, where is he!" "Father is gone, we don't know the way he went". "Oh how much I am longing to see him" the heart replied, "to talk to him. Since I cannot find him, I will enter into this man. So I will wander from generation to generation".

sunt fara cuvinte si extenuata de la atata entuziasm
- am stat in bucuresti 3 zile si am invatat ce inseamna sa-ti fie lene sa existi si sa te ingrasi din lenea asta; de asemenea ce inseamna sa se schimbe oamenii chiar sub nasul tau si sa nu-ti dai seama;
- am invatat ca e bine sa fii independent dar mai bine sa o faci pe banii tai
am trecut granita
am ajutat o tanti bijnitar isi treaca niste marfa la sarbi; imediat dupa asta am jurat ca nu o sa mai fac asa ceva niciodata, no matter what. oai ioi. mi-am si vazut tot viitorul de necazierist scaparand a ultima suflare de viata prin fata pupilelor mele dilatate. bine ca nu am fost cu inima, ca acum sunt.
am fost botezata de sarbi cu tot tacamul NADA, care desi inseamna ce inseamna in alta limba, in sarbeasca inseamna Speranta. :) M-au botezat asa pentru ca sunt cea mai copila la priceputul limbii sarbesti, si ne-am angajat sa invat cate ceva pana plec- mi-au si desemnat un MC care sa ma ajute ;))
m-am plimbat prin belgrad cu ochii pe sus, pe jos, imprejur si in mintea mea. i-am indragostit de ce au vazut, mi-am indragostit plamanii de aerul de acolo, mi-am indragostit mainile de imbratisarile sarbilor si mi-am indragostit viitorul de ce mi-a dat pana acum iesirea asta din tara, in mijlocul unor oameni asa de frumosi- libertate.
nu m-am simtit in viata mea asa de libera. atat de aproape de indiana jones si paradoxal de cei de care eram departe.
... si e numai prima ziiiii....
